From Hull to Rotterdam and back again...The Darts Cave adventure

Darts Cave: From Hull to Your Home – 10,000 Units Sold in Just 6 Months!

Hull, a city known for its rich sporting heritage, is now making waves in the darts world, thanks to three blokes with a bold vision. Darts Cave, the brainchild of Shaun, Alex, and Joe, has taken the game to a whole new level, bringing the thrill of the oche straight into homes and man caves across the UK. In just six months, they’ve sold over 10,000 units.

The Backstory: Three Mates, One Big Idea

Like many great ideas, Darts Cave was born out of a shared passion and a simple problem. Shaun, a shrewd and highly respected digital business leader, Alex, a darts nut and military-level project manager, and Joe, already a big name in sports—particularly Rugby League—on PR, broadcast, social, and engagement, all saw an opportunity to bring a professional darts experience into homes and clubs.

Traditional dart setups didn’t quite capture the magic of a real competition stage. Whether it was the hassle of setting up a proper board or the lack of an authentic backdrop, something was always missing. That’s when they had their lightbulb moment: What if they could create professional-style dart backboards and stage graphics that could transform any space into a true darts venue?

They got to work designing a range of products, from floor-to-ceiling dart backboards to large-scale mural backdrops, giving players the full competition experience right in their own homes, pubs, or clubs. They knew that personalization would be key, allowing customers to add their own logos and text to create a truly unique setup. The response? Phenomenal.
